FOIRE INTERNATIONALE DE L’AGRICULTURE 2017(FIA)

La Foire Internationale de l’Agriculture (FIA) a été organisée par le Ministère auprès de la Présidence en charge de l’Agriculture et de l’Elevage (MPAE) et qui s’est déroulée du 14 au 17 septembre 2017 au Forello, Tanjombato – Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Cette foire était le rendez-vous de différents acteurs œuvrant dans le milieu rural, tels que les producteurs d’intrants agricoles de marque, des banques nationales et internationales, des entreprises agro-industrielles sans oublier les organisations paysannes d’envergure nationale comme le Tranoben’ny Tantsaha Mpamokatra (TTM), la Coalition Paysanne de Madagascar (CPM), etc.

Pour la CPM, sa participation a sauté aux yeux car, elle a été représentée par deux régions différentes à savoir la région de Bongolava et celle d’Anosy. Dans nos deux stands, le premier, avec le Tranoben’ny Tantsaha Mpamokatra (TTM), et le second, avec le Projet d’Appui au Renforcement des Organisations Professionnelles et aux Services Agricoles (AROPA), nous avons exposé des semences de maïs, variétés IRAT 200.

Cette foire a permis aux paysans de voir les opportunités de partenariat dans le monde rural. Pour la CPM, la participation était synonyme de réussite, non seulement, nos représentants ont pu élargir des partenariats mais aussi et, surtout elle nous a permis une visibilité tant au niveau national, régional, qu’international.

CPM RESTRUCTURING: TRAINING OF FARMERS ANIMATORS IN BONGOLAVA DISTRICT

The training of responsible on the campaign for the improvement of the structure of CPM in the Bongolava District took place on 24 and 25 August at the FJKM Tsiroanomandidy.

Mr. Louis Raymond RANDRIANONY, Chief of the Board, led the training, confirming that importance as it ensures that the objective is to improve the CPM system from the grassroot level. For the Bongolava district, these campaigns are organized for eight communes: Ambararatabe, Maritampona, Ankadinondry, Bemahatazana, Fihaonana, Tsinjoarivo Imanga, Mahasolo and Ambatolampy. In order to obtain good results, the CPM will employ a farmers Animator, including one farmers Animator for a municipality. The aim is to establish at least one farmers organization (FO) for each Fokontany and at least seven (07) Farmers Organization (FO) in a rural commune to form the Union of Farmers Organizations (UFO) It should be emphasized that these farmers Animator do not work alone, they work closely with regional secretariats and regional offices. According to the organization of farmers Animator, October 15 will be fixed as the deadline for the formalization of the Farmers Organizations for each rural commune.

PROFESSIONAL PROJECT « CULTURE OF CORN » OF CPM AND AROPA, FARMERS BEGIN TO COMMERCIALIZE PRODUCTION

The professional project of CPM with AROPA has begun in December 2016, financed by IFAD, focusing on improving the standard of living of farmers through the production and sale of maize produced in the regions Amoron’i Mania and Anosy. The objective is to professionalize farmers in maize sector by creating cooperatives that must be autonomous and sustainable.
 At present, these farmers sell these products, which take place through a « bundling ». 300 t of maize for the Amoron’i Mania region is already in partnership with AGRIVAL and 1400 t in the Anosy region is being negotiated with the WFP.
It should be mentioned that more than 3,500 EAFs (Family Farm Exploitation) benefit from the advantages of this 25-month project, which will end in December 2018
